Gregorio, Prescott, Griggs elected to lead Port in 2016

February 11, 2016

The Board of Commissioners for the Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission (“the Commission”) recently announced its new officers.

Sam Gregorio has been elected as President, Rick Prescott has been elected as Vice President, and Roy Griggs has been elected as Secretary-Treasurer for 2016.

“I am honored to be chosen to play such an important role in the organization’s future,” said Gregorio. “The Commission’s focus remains on growing jobs and providing a good return on the investment made by the citizens of Caddo & Bossier in our Port. We have an ambitious future, and I am eager to continue developing and implementing effective strategies and attracting and retaining strong industries and jobs to The Port.”

Gregorio, formerly Secretary-Treasurer (2014) and Vice President (2015), has been a member of the Board of Commissioners since 2011. He has served on or been chairman of various committees, including Finance/Audit, Intergovernmental, Personnel, Port Expansion, M/WBE and Operations.

The 2,300 acre Port of Caddo-Bossier is located at the head of navigation on the Red River Waterway in Northwest Louisiana. An inland multi-modal transportation and distribution center, The Port works hand in hand with the port system of Louisiana to successfully link customers throughout the Ark-La-Tex region to domestic and international markets via the Mississippi River, the nation's largest river system, and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
