CADDO-BOSSIER PARISHES PORT COMMISSION RE-ELECTS OFFICERS

Gregorio, Prescott, Griggs elected to second term for Port leadership in 2017

SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER CITY, LA – The Board of Commissioners for the Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission (“the Commission”) recently announced its slate of officers for the coming year.

Sam Gregorio, President, Rick Prescott, Vice President, and Roy Griggs, Secretary-Treasurer have all been re-elected to a second term in 2017.

“The Commission’s focus remains on growing jobs and providing a good return on the investment made by the citizens of Caddo and Bossier in our Port,” said Gregorio. “We have an ambitious future, and I am eager to continue developing and implementing effective strategies and attracting and retaining strong industries and jobs to The Port.”

Gregorio, formerly Secretary-Treasurer (2014) and Vice President (2015), has been a member of the Board of Commissioners since 2011. He has served on or been chairman of various committees, including Finance/Audit, Intergovernmental, Personnel, Port Expansion, Minority/Women Owned Business Enterprise and Operations.

The 2,300 acre Port of Caddo-Bossier is located at the head of navigation on the Red River Waterway in Northwest Louisiana. An inland multi-modal transportation and distribution center, The Port works hand in hand with the port system of Louisiana to successfully link customers throughout the Ark-La-Tex region to domestic and international markets via the Mississippi River, the nation's largest river system, and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
