“We welcome Mr. Griggs to the board of commissioners at this pivotal time in The Port’s development. We look forward to the contributions of our new commissioner and I have no doubt Roy will bring meaningful ideas that will continue to help shape The Port’s future as the economic engine of Northwest Louisiana,” said Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission President, Captain Thomas Murphy.

Immediately following the swearing in ceremony, the Port Commission held an election for the office of Vice President, for which Commissioner Sam Gregorio, who had been serving as Secretary – Treasurer, was elected. Commissioner Rick Prescott was elected as the new Secretary – Treasurer.

“I am honored to serve with Commissioners Gregorio and Prescott. They have both served tirelessly in several other Port leadership positions, and these experiences will be an incredible benefit,” said Captain Murphy.
