Shreveport, La/Bossier City, La. – The Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission has elected a new slate of officers to lead the Port during 2018.

Rick Prescott was elected President of the Commission.  Roy Griggs will serve as Vice President. Walter O. Bigby, Jr., will serve as Secretary/Treasurer.

“I am very excited and honored to take on the role as President of the Port Commission,” said Rick Prescott.  “The Port has made some great strides over the last year, and I look forward to working with my fellow commissioners to keep the momentum and continue our mission of creating jobs and expanding commerce in the region.”

Rick Prescott was appointed to the Port Commission in 2011 to represent the City of Shreveport. Prescott served as Port Commission Vice President under Sam Gregorio’s leadership in 2016 and 2017.

The 2,300 acre Port of Caddo-Bossier is located at the head of navigation on the Red River Waterway in Northwest Louisiana. An inland multi-modal transportation and distribution center, The Port works hand in hand with the port system of Louisiana to successfully link customers throughout the Ark-La-Tex region to domestic and international markets via the Mississippi River, the nation's largest river system, and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
