SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER CITY, La. — The Port of Caddo-Bossier is pleased to announce the addition of a new tenant. Park Place Truck Parking operates a secure parking facility for 18-wheelers, trailers, commercial vehicles, buses and recreational vehicles (RVs). The facility is located at 2701 Intermodal Drive in Shreveport’s Southern Hills neighborhood, near the former AT&T building.
“This is a unique tenant for The Port,” said Caddo-Bossier Port Commission President Bill Altimus. “First, it’s located miles away from our 4,000-acre Port campus that straddles Highway 1. Second, it is not producing any goods, but rather providing a service that was needed in the area.”
Current laws prevent truck drivers and others from parking large vehicles on public roads. Park Place Truck Parking offers monthly leases for parking inside their secure lot. Security fences, cameras and LED lighting surround the 10-acre site. The 152 parking spaces are on concrete. The current owners spent about $100,000 to renovate the land acquired by The Port several years ago.
